What is Earthing?

Earthing can be defined as a connection of " exposed conductive parts" of an electrical circuit to earth in order to protect a user from shock or electrocution. It is carried out by connecting the chassis of the electrical equipment with an earth pin on the main power outlet and then joining the wiring of the building to an electrically solid earth point.
